♫ Monday, September 26th, 2011 Marc Jacobs was born in New York. In 1981, after graduating from art and design high school, he joined the Parsons School of Design, where he received the highest honor.
In 1984, Marc Jacobs received Perry Ellis Golden Thimble award; Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award and the Best Design Award . Being a student of Parsons design, Marc Jacobs has been sewn and sold clothing. These are designed for the Ruben Thomas Sketchbook brand clothing. In 1984, it also ushered the first cooperation of the Robert Duffy and Marc Jacobs, they formed Jacobs Duffy Design Co.Ltd., and the company still exists today.
In 1986, Marc Jacobs designed his first series named by his name. The next year, when Marc Jacobs received the Perry Ellis Award that awarded by Fashion Design Council of the United States (CFDA), he is the youngest designers that receive the Award in history, which gained a great honor for Marc Jacobs.
